City Electric Aggregation Information (Determine Opt-In / Out Status)

Attention Haverhill Residents,

Regarding the city's electrical aggregation program, please be aware that most residents and electrical users have been AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED in the city's aggregation program by default, unless you opted-out and/or signed up for an alternative plan via another third party. Please see the below links which will help you find the right way to review your bill or contact your provider to better assist determining your status.

WE ENCOURAGE ANY OUTSTANDING QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS REGARDING THEIR STATUS TO DIRECT THEIR CALLS TO COLONIAL POWER AT: (866) 485-5858 Ext. 1

You can out of or request to opt into the city’s aggregation program and learn all the details including phone numbers to call by visiting the website: http://colonialpowergroup.com/haverhill/.

Again, ALL electricity customers were automatically enrolled in the aggregation program two years ago, which was required by the company, but anyone can opt out of the city’s aggregation program via the website or by calling the company. If you are not sure if you are in or out, you can click here to learn how to know by looking at your bill: https://colonialpowergroup.com/national-grid/)

With cold weather coming soon and National Grid and other electricity providers expected to raise their rates starting in November, we want to remind everyone in our aggregation program that power supply costs are locked in through November 2023 for customers in our municipal aggregation program. The city contracted into this program with Residents Energy company to create stability and stabilize pricing – and it is working exactly as expected!

Electricity customers in our aggregation program may still see increases this winter due to increases in the cost of electricity “delivery”, but your “supply” cost line item cannot be increased until November 2023. The bottom line is we recommend NOT leaving the program.
